Celebrated Israeli filmmaker Assi Dayan dead at 68

Revered Israeli actor/director Assi Dayan has died, aged 68. The filmmaker, whose father was Israel’s former Defence Minister Moshe Dayan, was found dead in his Tel Aviv home on Thursday (01May14).
A cause of death has not yet been released.
As an actor, Dayan portrayed a psychologist in hit Israeli TV drama Be’Tipul, which was adapted as In Treatment in the U.S..
He also directed 17 films, including comedy Halfon Hill Doesn’t Answer, and the critically-acclaimed Life According to Agfa.
He married three times and has four children.
