The Brady Bunch actress Florence Henderson dies at 82

Florence Henderson, who played the mother on hit U.S. TV show The Brady Bunch, has died aged 82.
The actress was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her passing, her manager Kayla Pressman said in a statement released late on Thursday (24Nov16).
Henderson was most famous for playing Carol Brady in sitcom The Brady Bunch, which ran on U.S. network ABC from 1969 to 1974. Following the success of the programme, a television movie, a variety show and an album followed, as well as an attempt to bring the show back in 1990 in The Bradys. However, the reboot failed to replicate the success of the original and was short-lived.
As well as her role on The Brady Bunch, Henderson frequently appeared on game shows and had guest appearances in television shows such as Murder, She Wrote, The Love Boat, Ally McBeal and 30 Rock.
More recent years saw Henderson try her luck in the reality television field, appearing on The Surreal Life in 2006 and competing on Dancing With The Stars in 2010, before being eliminated fifth in the competition.
She also hosted her own talk show The Florence Henderson Show and cooking series Who’s Cooking with Florence Henderson on Retirement Living TV.
Henderson, who was married twice, is survived by four children.
