Beyonce channels Jane Fonda’s ’80s workout videos for IVY PARK promo

Beyonce has taken inspiration from Jane Fonda’s famous exercise videos from the 1980s for a fun new Ivy Park advertisement.

The Run the World hitmaker launched the second part of her Drip 2 collection of Adidas athleisure wear on Tuesday (November 17, 2020), and dropped an accompanying promo reminiscent of Fonda’s old workout tapes, complete with cheesy sayings, bad audio, and VHS glitches.

In the footage, Beyonce takes on the role of fitness instructor as she models various pieces from her clothing line.

“Welcome to my Park. Everyone, grab your weights,” she says.

“Today we’re gonna do some Beyrobics that keep you thick and smiling. Where’s that smile, honeybun?”

“Are y’all Beyhaving…?,” she continues. “Are you doing this at home? Breathe in, breathe out. Work on those Beyceps, baby. Feel those thighs burn. We’re going to work those thighs so hard.”

Beyonce’s entertaining new commercial emerges days after she announced a new partnership with officials at interactive fitness platform Peloton, for which she will help curate workout classes for indoor cycling, running, strength, bootcamp, yoga, and meditation – all disciplines important to the superstar.
