Actor Ritch Brinkley dies

Ritch Brinkley, the star of U.S. sitcom Murphy Brown, has died at the age of 71.
The actor’s family has announced he passed away on 5 November (15). No more details were known as WENN went to press.
Brinkley played cameraman Carl Wishnitski, who was obsessed with Candice Bergen’s character, in the popular show, and Diane English, the creator of Murphy Brown, paid tribute via Twitter.com, revealing she wrote with him in mind.
“I wrote the part especially for him after he appeared on another show I produced, My Sister Sam,” she tweeted.
Brinkley also starred in 1980s series Beauty and the Beast opposite Linda Hamilton, and had a recurring role as prosecutor Daryl Lodwick in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks.
He also appeared on the big screen, with roles in movies including 1985’s Man With the One Red Shoe with Tom Hanks, and 1994 comedy Cabin Boy.
