Akon ordered to pay up over repossessed car

Hitmaker AKON has reportedly been ordered to pay over $245,000 (£153,000) to cover the cost of a luxury sports car he had repossessed.
Bosses at Manhattan Leasing Enterprises sued the Locked Up hitmaker last year (14), claiming he owed $250,000 (£156,250) in payments and damages for a 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia he leased in 2011.
They also asked the judge to allow them to repossess the vehicle.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by Bossip.com, Akon fell behind on his payments shortly after leasing the car, but reached a settlement with the company.
The 42 year old agreed to continue his payments but he missed one instalment in July (15), and was ordered to pay over $230,700 (£144,000) and a vehicle return fee of $13,978 (£8,736) after the luxury car was towed away.
The star’s debt issues are beginning to mount up – bosses at a Georgia firm are also suing Akon for allegedly failing to pay contractors for work they carried out at his home.
Capital Floors executives claim he owes them thousands for work on his floors, and they’ve filed a $15,000 (£9,400) lien against his home.
It’s the second lien filing against Akon’s pad – another contractor claims he’s owed more than $35,000 (£22,000) for work on the Georgia mansion, and in 2012, a third contractor argued he wasn’t paid $51,941 (£32,000) for work to the same property.
