Bruce Willis provides meals for Idaho firefighters

Hollywood action man Bruce Willis has thanked the firefighters working to contain a blaze in Idaho by serving up their daily meals. The Beaver Creek wildfire has torched more than 100,000 acres over the last three weeks in the state, where the Die Hard star owns multiple residences in the Sun Valley area.
Willis has praised the emergency staff for their bravery, and shown his gratitude by arranging for a catering company to feed 450 emergency staff their lunches and dinners, beginning on Friday (30Aug13).
Willis says, “Like all of my fellow Idaho residents, I want to extend my most sincere and grateful thanks to the firefighters and first-responders which include the helicopter and airplane pilots who have been flying for day in and day out, who risked life and limb to battle the horrific Beaver Creek Fire in Idaho.
“You are the men and women who put your lives at risk to protect ours on a daily basis, but it is at moments like these that your heroism comes to the forefront of our nation’s consciousness. On behalf of me and my family, please know that there will never be enough words to express our deepest appreciation for your ever-present dedication and bravery.
Actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Hanks also have holiday homes in the area.
