Bryan Singer To Direct ‘X-Men’ TV Pilot Episode

Bryan Singer will direct the pilot for a new X-Men TV series.

TV bosses at 20th TV and Marvel Television are developing an untitled show revolving around parents who discover their child has mutant abilities.

Singer has directed several X-Men movies, including X-Men, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and X-Men: Apocalypse, and he will take charge of the first episode. The pilot was picked up earlier this week (ends27Jan17) and is being written by Matt Nix, who will also serve as executive producer alongside Singer.

The untitled project is the second X-Men series to hit the small screen – Legion, which centers on Patrick Stewart‘s character Professor Charles Xavier’s son, will premiere on American network FX next month (Feb17). It stars Dan Stevens, Jean Smart and Aubrey Plaza.
