Cardi B, French Montana, and Master P have been dragged into a new lawsuit over a sampled beat.
Kirk Edwards claims the three rappers and Yo Gotti and City Girls all sampled a beat he produced, as DJ JMK, called Choppa Style.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Cardi B and City Girls sampled a portion of the track on their 2018 hit Twerk, while Yo Gotti and French Montana used it on their Oh Yeah hit in 2017.
Edwards claims he was never paid for the use of his beat, and now he wants his cash.
He is suing for copyright infringement.
