Singer Jewel will play June Carter in the film and U.S. punk icon John Doe is on board to play A.P. Carter – June’s uncle. Newcomer Matt Ross will portray Johnny Cash.
The project is based on John Carter Cash’s memoir Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash.
