Kim Dickens cast as lead in The Walking Dead spinoff

Actress Kim Dickens has been cast in the lead female role in The Walking Dead spinoff. . The Gone Girl star will join Colombiana’s Cliff Curtis in the new show, which will serve as a companion series to the highly-popular zombie apocalypse TV series.
The untitled drama will take place in Los Angeles, where Dickens will play a guidance counsellor mum-of-two with a troubled past, according to Deadline.com.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’s Frank Dillane and Into the Storm’s Alycia Debnam Carey will play the children of Dickens’ character.
