The Today show is about to get an extra helping of fame-mongering. In light of her daughter’s less than shocking divorce announcement, Kris Jenner is scheduled to stop by the popular NBC morning show to talk specifically about the split between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Unless it’s a chart of all the signs we saw along the way, I’m not sure there’s really much to discuss, but I’m sure Jenner will find a way to put a positive, this-wasn’t-a-reality-TV-fakie-wedding-we-swear spin on it. This enlightening interview will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 2 — hopefully during the fourth hour with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb because the pinot grigio (we assume) in their coffee mugs can only help this situation.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenner “made sure that the Kardashian and Humphries divorce was announced on Monday” in order to make weekly magazine deadlines. That’s manipulative with a capital M, but I guess you don’t make your family obscenely famous for no apparent reason without being a media manipulation wiz.
Sure, we complain now, but just wait. We’ll be watching that video and spewing commentary as soon as it’s available. Damn those inexplicably addictive Kardashians.
