Stephen Colbert Hires U.S. Women’s Olympics Gymnastics Team as Interns

Facter: It would be even more bad-ass to be one of the Fierce Five on the U.S. Women’s Olympic Gymnastics team. Factest: It would be the most bad-ass to be a member of the Fierce Five and an intern on The Colbert Report. Thus, you’ll agree (you have to, they’re indisputable facts) that Colbert and gymnasts Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross, Jordyn Wieber and McKayla Maroney make for one heck of a boss-intern team. It’s a working relationship with panache, as evidenced by the quintet’s dramatic flair in completing simple intern tasks like bringing Colbert a pen.

The crowd of course went wild when Douglas — arguably the most breakout-y of Olympic breakouts — appeared as one of the show’s incoming interns, which you can see below in the clip from Wednesday’s episode of The Colbert Report. Watch the video and take comfort in knowing that McKayla is, still, not impressed:
