In the official document, obtained by TMZ.com, coroners noted the veteran broadcaster went under the knife to treat a benign enlargement of the prostate on 17 April (12) after he was diagnosed with acute urinary retention.
The star, who also battled heart disease, died from an acute myocardial infarction – a cardiac arrest – the next day (18Apr12).
The Clark family has chosen to cremate the 82 year old’s remains and scatter his ashes in the Pacific Ocean in lieu of a traditional funeral service.
