The 85 year old wed actress Anne Meara in 1954 and they became a popular comedy duo, frequently performing together on legendary U.S. programme The Ed Sullivan Show.
Unlike several Hollywood marriages, the couple’s relationship has withstood the test of time and Stiller insists their secret is not a steamy love life.
He tells the New York Daily News, “I don’t miss sex, if you want to know the truth. The sex in my life was always being on stage and performing. Anne couldn’t care less… Our marriage has lasted because we have the same feelings of insecurity about being an actor. We needed stability.”
