Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson is developing a stageshow about his band’s namesake. Jethro Tull: The Rock Opera, which will feature the group’s music, revolves around the 17th century British agricultural pioneer, but is set in the “near future”.
In a post on Facebook, Anderson reveals he has rewritten Tull songs for the new project and he will also be debuting new songs.
Dates and details for Jethro Tull: A Rock Opera have yet to be announced, but Anderson reveals the show will begin as a British tour before travelling to Russia, South America and Europe.
