Luke Haines honours Mick Farren at London gig

Veteran rocker Luke Haines paid tribute to Mick Farren by reading from one of the late musician/author’s books during his live show on Tuesday (30Jul13), just days after the writer passed away at the same London venue. Farren, 69, died after collapsing onstage during a set with his band The Deviants at The Borderline on Saturday (27Jul13), and Haines honoured his passing during his own gig at the rock club.
Before performing a track called Gene Vincent from his current album Rock and Roll Animals, Haines read an excerpt about Vincent from Farren’s 2002 book about the famed rockabilly musician, entitled Give The Anarchist A Cigarette.
Farren’s cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
