Nicole Kidman has branded 2014 the toughest year she has ever faced as she continues to grieve for her late father.
The Moulin Rouge! star’s dad, Dr. Antony Kidman, died after suffering a fall in Singapore in September (14), and the actress has been left devastated by her loss. She now tries to talk about her father as much as possible to keep his memory alive, and although the tragedy has pulled her family closer together, the last few months have been the hardest battle she has ever faced.
Kidman tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, “You know, I will look back at this year as one of the toughest years our family’s ever gone through – I mean, the toughest, ever… “I talk about it because I like to keep him alive, in a way. Even though you talk about it, you’re still in so much pain so, yeah, as a family we’re still in a lot of pain… As any family knows when you’ve had a huge loss, it makes you tighter, you have to also protect each other.”
