Scott Stapp asks fans to fund new album

Troubled rocker Scott Stapp is asking fans to help him raise $480,000 (£300,000) to fund his next album. The former Creed star, who last month (Nov14) revealed he is broke and homeless, has launched a crowdsourcing campaign online to pay for the recording of a third solo album.
He has also told fans he intends to write a novel if he can raise enough cash via the Fundly.com campaign.
Last week (ends30Nov13), Stapp’s estranged wife Jaclyn filed legal papers asking authorities to have the singer placed on a psychiatric hold.
He was involuntarily committed to a mental health facility on 13 November (14) for 72 hours after he was found wandering at the side of a road in Florida, but was subsequently released.
