Days of Our Lives actor Frank Parker dies

Days Of Our Lives star Frank Parker has died aged 79.
The soap opera star, most well known for playing Grandpa Shawn Brady on the U.S. TV show, died on 16 September (18) in Vacaville, California, according to an obituary published in The Hollywood Reporter.
Parker first found success as an actor in the 1960s and ’70s, starring in TV shows such as General Hospital before he landed his career-making role in Days of Our Lives in 1983.
He played the role for 25 years until his retirement in 2008, at which point his character was killed off.
“He could light up a room with his singing voice and was known to burst into song at any moment,” his family wrote in his obituary. “He was a ham and loved the spotlight. Above all, he was the most supportive, generous, kind man and father. Frank loved his family.”
Parker is survived by twin daughters, Danielle Dallas and Lindsay Kyle, from his first marriage to Nola Donelle Rajcok, and his second wife Mary Jean Dunning Garofalo.
