Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes could be in for a nasty fright on Saturday–their rumored wedding venue has been the location for a string of blood-curdling horror movies.
The Hollywood couple are set to tie the knot at the 16th century medieval Castello Odescalchi in Bracciano, near Rome, this weekend in a lavish, star-studded ceremony.
But Cruise and Holmes aren’t the first to grace the castle’s gloomy halls–actors including Christopher Lee, Naomi Watts, Catherine McCormack, Rufus Sewell and even British rocker Adam Ant have already visited the castle on film sets.
Lee‘s 1963 venture saw him play the Devil who terrorizes a group of dropouts in chilling horror movie Katarsis.
Meanwhile, McCormack‘s visit to the castle sees her charged with witchcraft as courtesan Veronica Franco in 1998’s Dangerous Beauty, while Ant plays a mysterious man in front of a crystal ball in 1992 scream-fest Spellcaster.
Cruise and Holmes are staying tight-lipped about their wedding plans, confirming only that the big day will take place in Italy this weekend.
