The former Heroes star has been accused of luring her ex Bill Charles into a meeting with her 12-year-old son and boyfriend Tom Dillon at Brooklyn, New York eatery Cheeburger Cheeburger so he could be attacked.
Charles reportedly suffered a concussion and a fractured nose during the altercation in June (06Jun12), but he was slapped with five charges, including misdeameanour assault, over claims he harmed his child in the alleged brawl.
Now he is fighting back against the couple in legal papers filed at the Brooklyn Supreme Court last month (Dec12), seeking damages for a variety of offences, including assault, defamation, kidnapping of a minor child, and perjury.
However, the star’s lawyer, Judith Lesley, has maintained her client’s innocence from the start, telling the New York Daily News, “This lawsuit is totally without merit; other than that Ms. Cypress has no comment.”
