Udo Lindenberg dominates ECHO Awards in Germany

Rocker Udo Lindenberg was the big winner at Germany’s ECHO Awards on Thursday night (06Apr17), picking up two major honours.
Officials at the Deutsche Phono-Akademie named the veteran National Pop Artist, while his album Starker als die Zeit picked up the Album of the Year award.
Other winners included Drake’s One Dance, which was crowned Hit of the Year, Metallica, Sia and Rag’n’Bone Man, who each collected international prizes.
Lindenberg, German rockers Die Toten Hosen, Rag’n’Bone Man, Beth Ditto, and Linkin Park were among the performers who hit the stage at the Berlin Trade Fair grounds.
