Katherine Kelly dropped out of Mr Selfridge after birth

Actress Katherine Kelly is excited to watch the upcoming new season of Mr Selfridge because she had to drop out of the show after giving birth weeks before filming was due to begin. The British star plays Lady Mae opposite Jeremy Piven in the hit period drama but her role in the third series was cut after she gave birth to daughter Orla in March last year (14).
It means she has no idea of the plot for the new run and is desperate to see it when it airs in March (15) as she cannot wait to discover what happens to the main characters.
Kelly tells U.K. TV show This Morning, “I had my girl in March and then they started to film in April and I really wanted to take a good, solid maternity leave, so it fell exactly at the wrong point really. So I am going to be watching as much as anybody else.
“I live in Australia as well because my husband is from Australia and we decided to have the baby there… so I absolutely know nothing about this series.”
