Actor Don Grady has died at the age of 68.
The My Three Sons star passed away on Wednesday (27Jun12) after a four-year cancer battle.
His former co-star Barry Livingston took to Facebook.com to announce the news, writing, “My dear friend and TV brother Don Grady passed away today. He was an inspiration to me in so many ways.”
Grady was an original Mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club in the 1950s and also appeared in several Western series before he landed his breakthrough role as Robbie Douglas on My Three Sons in 1960.
He played the part until the sitcom ended in 1972 and later went on to pursue a musical career, scoring the 1991 Ellen Barkin movie Switch and the theme song for The Phil Donahue Show.
