Airline official hits back at Brandon T. Jackson’s racial slur allegations

A representative for US Airways has slammed actor Brandon T. Jackson’s allegations of racism, insisting he was escorted off a flight on Monday (04Nov13) for drunk and disruptive behaviour. The Tropic Thunder star used his Twitter.com blog to detail his alleged mistreatment, accusing a flight attendant named Dee of using the ‘N’ word for no reason as they argued on the plane.
In a series of online posts asking fans to spread the news of his bad experience in the unfriendly skies, he wrote, “US AIRWAYS their (sic) so racist they said ‘i don’t care if your (sic) (President Barack) Obama son get in your seat!!’ Flight 629 flight attendant ‘DEE’ please help (sic)!!!!”
Airport police boarded the plane and marched the actor into the terminal when the flight landed in Phoenix, Arizona, and he was released after being questioned about the incident, but banned from boarding a connecting plane to Burbank, California.
A US Airways official has now hit back at Jackson, claiming he was not a victim of racism, revealing he began making a scene after flight staff refused to continue serving him alcohol.
The representative tells TMZ.com, “The disruptive behaviour started with loud music being played by Mr. Jackson at his seat. He was asked several times to turn down the music. Additional erratic behaviour was observed and that is when the crew made the decision to stop serving (alcohol to Jackson).”
