Alanis Morissette slams ex-nanny’s lawsuit

Alanis Morissette has hit back at “hurtful” and “cruel” claims she forced a former nanny to work exhausting 12-hour night shifts without breaks. Last month (Sep13), Bianca Cambeiro sued the Ironic singer and her musician husband Mario Treadway, alleging she was ordered not leave their son Ever’s bedroom under any circumstances during her employment from August, 2011 to last March (13).
In the suit, she added she was only allowed a break if either parent or the couple’s daytime nanny entered the room.
Cambeiro is demanding $30,000 (£20,000) in unpaid overtime and other wages, as well as $100,000 (£67,000) for emotional distress, and now Morissette has thanked fans for supporting her in the wake of the accusations.
Taking to Twitter.com, she writes, “Grateful for all your heartfelt support around these hurtful and cruel allegations. Truthfulness will prevail. i love you.”
