Andrew Lloyd Webber plotting U.S. move

Theatre mogul Andrew Lloyd Webber is considering leaving his native Britain and moving to the U.S. The Cats creator suffered disappointment with his latest musical Stephen Ward, which closed in March (14) after just four months on stage in London, and Webber admits he is now considering moving to America to create shows for a different audience.
He tells Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, “I feel that it is time for me to go home, back to America. They were the first people to discover me and maybe now is the moment to say I am coming home.”
Webber and his writing partner Sir Tim Rice first found fame in 1971 when their musical Jesus Christ Superstar opened on Broadway. The show opened in New York a year before it hit theatres in London.
