Angie Everhart’s husband urged her to go public with Harvey Weinstein story

Model and actress Angie Everhart has revealed her husband convinced her to come forward with allegations about disgraced movie boss Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misconduct.
The former Playboy pin-up and Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue regular recently became one of the many women accusing the producer of sexual harassment and assault after claiming he trapped her in a room on a yacht and forced her to watch him masturbate.
And now she tells In Touch magazine her husband, entrepreneur Carl Ferro, encouraged her to go public.
“Carl’s the one who told me to say something,” Angie tells the publication. “He is a big, loud Italian. When he’s in the room, people know it.”
But Everhart understands women who still feel it’s not safe to name their abusers: “If you’re in danger, don’t. If it’s going to get you hurt, be careful. But it’s time for these issues to not be brushed under the table…
“Either live with integrity or not. I don’t live with regret. I made mistakes, but they’re my mistakes.”
