As I Lay Dying members thank fans for support after singer’s arrest

Members of As I Lay Dying have thanked fans for their support after the arrest of frontman Tim Lambesis over allegations he tried to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife. The Parallels hitmaker was taken into custody in Oceanside, California on Tuesday (07May13) after reportedly soliciting help from an undercover detective.
Lambesis was charged with one count of solicitation to commit murder and one count of conspiracy to commit a crime and was booked in the Vista Detention Facility, where he is currently being held without bail.
His stunned bandmates – Jordan Mancino, Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso and Josh Gilbert – have now broken their silence to show their support for the embattled singer and thank fans for their kind messages.
A statement on the band’s official website reads, “As we post this, the legal process is taking its course and we have no more information than you do. There are many unanswered questions, and the situation will become clearer in the coming days and weeks.
“We’ll keep you informed as best we can. Our thoughts right now are with Tim, his family, and with everyone else affected by this terrible situation – and with our fans, whom we love and draw strength from. Thank you for understanding, and as always, for your support of As I Lay Dying.”
Lambesis is due to appear in court on Thursday (09May13) to be arraigned.
