Author Alistair MacLeod dies

Revered Canadian author Alistair Macleod has died aged 77. The writer passed away on Saturday (20Mar14) after suffering a stroke in January (14).
He was best known for his 1999 book No Great Mischief, which won the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award in 2001.
MacLeod taught English and creative writing at the University of Windsor in Ontario for 40 years and was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2009.
