Aziz Ansari turns to internet users for help on new book

Comedian Aziz Ansari has turned to fans online for relationship tips as he compiles research for his new book, Modern Romantics. Last year (13), the Parks and Recreation star landed a lucrative deal with publisher Penguin Press to pen a book about the perils of dating in the modern age, and he’s hoping to get the most accurate information on the scene by crowdsourcing community website Reddit for his research.
Ansari set up a forum on the popular social networking site and posted questions about love and relationships. Any user is able to respond with their own take on the subject.
He explains that the site is for “fun discussions”, adding, “Please do not mistake anything you read here as professional advice. Any and all stories posted here may be used in my book on modern romance.”
Whereas celebrities usually head to Reddit for the Ask Me Anything (AMA) series, Ansari has switched roles and is the one asking the questions, such as, “Does social media/online world make it harder to be a faithful person in a relationship?” and “Do you find yourself more susceptible to flirtations than before?”
Modern Romance is due to hit shelves in September 2015.
