Ben Affleck has joined forces with an American footwear brand to design a limited edition shoe collection in aid of his Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI) charity. The Argo director, who founded ECI in order to help communities in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo, has collaborated with TOMS shoes to create the line, made from brightly coloured Congolese Textiles.
TOMS already operates a charity initiative which donates a pair of shoes to an impoverished child for every pair sold and, in addition to the existing practice, bosses at the company have also agreed to donate $5 (£3.20) towards ECI programs.
