Blink-182 staging 9/11 tribute gig in New York

Rockers Blink-182 are marking the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by donating money from their gig on Wednesday (11Sep13) to hospitals in New York. Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge will play at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn in memory of the thousands who died in America’s worst ever terrorist attacks.
According to TMZ.com, the band is donating money raised from the concert to hospitals and medical units, including the William Randolph Hearst Burn Center at the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Drummer Barker reportedly asked to donate proceeds to the Big Apple centre after he suffered extensive injuries in a plane crash in 2008.
