Carly Simon dropped the mention of Woody Allen from her 1992 song Love Of My Life after the director left her good friend Mia Farrow for her adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn. The singer/songwriter listed the filmmaker among the things she loved in the tune, but replaced his name with that of his ex after the scandalous split months later.
She confirms the story to Vanity Fair magazine as part of a new Farrow expose.
And suddenly Allen was not one of the things she loved anymore. She explains, “What a shock that all was. I will never see another Woody Allen movie.”
Allen and Soon-Yi married in 1997 and have two adopted daughters together.
