Chris Hemsworth announced as Tag Heuer ambassador

Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has been unveiled as the new face of watch brand Tag Heuer.
The 32-year-old has joined the likes of footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, NFL player Tom Brady and British supermodel Cara Delevingne as an ambassador for the Swiss watch company.
As one of the most handsome actors in the industry, it’s no surprise that the Thor star caught the eye of the brand’s bosses.
“We are delighted to announce Australian actor, Chris Hemsworth, joins the family of prestigious TAG Heuer ambassadors!” a spokesperson said in a statement. “Since the motorsport film Rush, the friendship between the Australian actor and the Swiss Watch brand has grown very close. With his international profile, professionalism, authenticity, and a TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 on his wrist- he is the perfect embodiment of the motto ‪#‎DontCrackUnderPressure‬!”
Chris’s first international advertising campaign will begin just before Christmas, and will see him sporting the new TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer-01 in-house chronograph design.
How slim Chris will look in the shoot is yet to be seen though, as he posted a picture on social media earlier this week (beg23Nov15) showing his dramatic weight loss as part of his role in the movie In The Heart of the Sea.
“Just tried a new diet/training program called ‘Lost At Sea’. Wouldn’t recommend it.. #IntheHeartoftheSea,” he wrote on Instagram alongside the image of him with a cracked and sunburned face, overgrown hair and beard and extremely gaunt torso.
While Chris is thrilled to be part of the Ron Howard production, he admitted in the summer (15) that losing the weight was not a fun part of the process.
“We have to shoot the really skinny stuff where we drop down to 5, 6, 700 calories a day, a good three or four weeks and it’s going to be pretty uncomfortable, but we’ll be together in our misery,” he told ET Online. “I spend more time thinking about food than anything else at the moment.”
