Chris Hemsworth’s Daughter Expertly Feigns Illness to Get Out of School

Chris Hemsworth’s young daughter is an expert at feigning illnesses so she can get out of school.

The Thor: Ragnarok actor and his actress wife Elsa Pataky are parents to five-year-old daughter India and three-year-old twin boys Tristan and Sasha.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (16Jan18), Chris shared that his sons are very active and love to pull stunts but his daughter is “much smarter” and is quickly becoming a convincing little performer.

“Mid last year, my mother-in-law went to pick up the boys, they do a half day, she does a full day. And the teacher comes up and says, ‘Oh look, India wants to go home, she’s not feeling well.’ India comes out and she (pretends to cough), saying, ‘I’m sick, I’m sick.'”

Accordingly, Chris‘ mother-in-law brought India home with the boys, but they quickly worked out that the little girl was pulling a sickie.

“I come home later on. And she’s running around the house, she’s in the pool, having a great time. I’m like, ‘I thought you were sick?’ And she goes, ‘Nah I was just tricking, I didn’t want to be at school.’ (She was aged) five at that time,” the 34-year-old laughed. “She’s going to be fun when she’s 16!”

Chris, who is currently promoting his war drama movie 12 Strong, also shared how he and his younger brother Liam Hemsworth enjoy constantly teasing each other. For instance, Liam recently took to Instagram to share an image of his dog Tani chewing on a figurine of Chris‘ superhero character Thor, much to his brother’s amusement.

“That’s just me and Liam in a family portrait!” he joked of the photo.
