Chrissy Teigen and Anna Paquin have blasted Piers Morgan after he criticized Jennifer Aniston.
Jennifer hit headlines when she wrote an impassioned op-ed for the Huffington Post criticizing the objectification of women in the media, after some news outlets ran stories speculating she could be pregnant after she was pictured with a rounded stomach in a bikini.
However, US editor-at-large for Mail Online Piers lambasted Jennifer for the op-ed in a piece posted on the website, insisting she doesn’t have the right to make those comments when she authorizes airbrushing of her images for magazines.
@piersmorgan saw your piece on Jennifer Aniston. Why do you ALWAYS take the road of being the piece of shit asshole?

Following Piers’ column, model Chrissy was quick to take to social media to blast him, asking him: “Saw your piece on Jennifer Aniston. Why do you ALWAYS take the road of being the piece of s**t a**hole? Particularly with women and people of color. tell me it’s just for clicks?? Please tell me you aren’t TRULY this vile.”
@piersmorgan particularly with women and people of color. tell me it’s just for clicks?? Please tell me you aren’t TRULY this vile.

@piersmorgan I think you aren’t this bad & have simply sold your soul for clicks. Which is even sadder than actually believing your garbage

Morning, Ms Teigen. You didn’t actually read it did you…? Try doing that before throwing another diva tantrum. https://t.co/rxCHbLT2lH

Ever a keen social media user, Piers responded: “Morning, Ms Teigen. You didn’t actually read it did you…? Try doing that before throwing another diva tantrum.”
@piersmorgan unfortunately, I read it. I’m not so much a diva as I am a person who slows down at car crashes, apparently.

No, my little bundle of hypocrisy, YOU’RE using ME for clickbait.
Now hush before your sanctimonious spleen bursts. https://t.co/Cm4A3uKxXW— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
Chrissy answered, “Unfortunately, I read it. I’m not so much a diva as I am a person who slows down at car crashes, apparently,” to which Piers wrote, “No, my little bundle of hypocrisy, YOU’RE using ME for click bait. Now hush before your sanctimonious spleen bursts.”
@piersmorgan you’re right. It’s ME who writes weekly columns demeaning and criticizing women and black people. All me. Goodbye, King troll.
— christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) July 13, 2016
Clearly getting increasingly angry by the exchange, Chrissy replied: “You’re right. It’s ME who writes weekly columns demeaning and criticizing women and black people. All me. Goodbye, King troll.”
Says the world’s biggest, lamest ‘celebrity’ troll.
Your husband’s a genius so I forgive your childish impudence. https://t.co/GFgmWpPyFt— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 13, 2016
Unwilling to let the situation lie, Piers fanned the flames by writing: “Says the world’s biggest, lamest ‘celebrity’ troll. Your husband’s a genius so I forgive your childish impudence.”
But Chrissy insisted her husband, singer John Legend, shares her views on Piers, writing: “My husband thinks you are one of the most misogynistic, condescending morons on the planet but thank you.”

At that point, Piers replied, “Well he married you, so we all have our problems”, and Chrissy attempted to call time on the feud by writing: “You just cannot stop proving my point.”

Former True Blood star Anna was also keen to express her anger after reading Piers’ column.
“You missed the point by about a mile. As you aren’t a woman in public eye I respectfully suggest you “think and not say”/jog on,” she wrote.
“1) we aren’t actually given the option of not being photo shopped. 2) You’ve never been subjected to this kind of bullying. You’ve clearly never seen pictures of yourself where they have airbrushed half your face off and def never requested it.”
When Piers insisted that stars make money from doing big magazine covers, Anna replied: “The issue of women’s representation in print media and pap pics taken for sole purpose of #bodyshaming aren’t really same topic.”
Another Twitter user got involved, saying that Piers shouldn’t be banned from giving his opinion just because he’s a man, to which Anna responded: “I’m pretty sure nobody has ever called him fat/pregnant for wearing an ill advised outfit to say grocery shop.”
I get called fat by TV critics every single week. Makes me laugh, mainly because I’m so svelte & handsome.

Piers insisted he gets called fat “every single week” by TV critics, leading to Anna replying: “Well I’m truly happy that you have the self esteem to withstand that kind of criticism.”
She concluded: “I think the point that is being missed is that #JenniferAniston having a privileged life doesn’t mean she doesn’t get to react to this crap.”
