Cracknell allowed home to continue recovery

The British rower was filming a cycling programme for the Discovery Channel in the U.S. in July (10) when he was knocked off his bike by a truck in Arizona.

He was treated in a neuro-trauma unit for bleeding and swelling on the brain and was later flown back to the U.K. to continue his recovery in a London hospital.

Now he is set to return home to his family by the end of the week (ends05Sep10), according to his TV presenter wife Beverly Turner.

She tells the BBC, “Rest and recuperation are strange concepts to such an active man.

“But he is looking forward to being home with the children. Both James and I would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support throughout this difficult process.”
