David Cassidy’s estate hit with lawsuit over unpaid legal bills

Late singer and actor David Cassidy’s estate is facing a lawsuit over unpaid legal bills.
Bosses at Rodier & Rodier originally sued The Partridge Family star in 2013 over unpaid legal fees amounting to $134,200 (£100,300). Cassidy paid $31,400 (£23,500) of the bill, leaving a $103,000 (£76,900) balance.
In 2015, Cassidy declared bankruptcy and the law firm was included in a list of his creditors. The bankruptcy was subsequently discharged, but the debt to the law firm remained.
In October (17), executives at Rodier & Rodier re-filed the lawsuit in a Florida court and a hearing was scheduled for 20 December (17). However, Cassidy passed away last month (Nov17) and attorneys for the law firm are now seeking to name his estate as the defendant in the lawsuit, according to TheBlast.com.
Earlier this month (Dec17), it was revealed the 67-year-old left all of his assets, which amount to an estimated $150,000 (£112,100), to his son Beau, leaving his estranged daughter, actress Katie Cassidy, out of his will.
