Dierks Bentley hosting benefit concert for Arizona firefighters

Country star Dierks Bentley is set to host a benefit concert for the 19 firefighters who lost their lives battling a blaze in his native Arizona last month (Jun13). The emergency workers, who were members of an elite team of firefighters known as the Granite Mountain Hotshots, were overcome by flames while trying to contain a fast-moving blaze on 30 June (13).
Now Bentley has announced plans to headline the Country Cares Concert in Prescott Valley on 22 July (13) to help raise money for the victim’s families.
A statement from the Home singer reads, “I want to help honour the memory of these 19 brave firefighters, to be part of the healing process for the community and to raise money for the families left behind.
“I was and still am devastated by this tragic event in my home state. I certainly can’t imagine what these families are enduring, but I do believe in the healing power of music and hope as many Arizonans as possible can come out and be part of this event.”
