DJ EZ Rock to be memorialised at the Hip Hop Hall of Fame ceremony

Hip-hop artist Dj E-Z Rock is set to be honoured at the Hip Hop Hall of Fame ceremony later this month (May14). The rapper, real name Rodney Bryce, died after suffering a diabetic seizure last month (Apr14), and he’ll be remembered on 19 May (14) by stars like Talib Kweli, Brand Nubian, Slick Rick, MC Busy Bee, Nine and Rakim, who will perform a tribute to him at the ceremony in New York.
Wonder Mike and Master Gee of The Sugarhill Gang, Spoonie G & The Treacherous Three and Busy Bee Starski will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the event, and Ralph McDaniels, the founder of TV show Video Music Box, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The show will be hosted by Roxanne Shante and DJ Mell Starr.
