Doctor Who and Peaky Blinders triumph at BAFTA Craft Awards

Top British TV shows Doctor Who and Peaky Blinders picked up two awards each at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Craft Awards on Sunday (27Apr14). The event celebrates the talented teams working behind the scenes on U.K. shows, and Doctor Who was honoured in the Special Effects and Make-up categories.
Peaky Blinders, starring Cillian Murphy as an early 20th Century gangster, also won two trophies for Best Director for Otto Bathurst and Best Photography And Lighting.
Downton Abbey was triumphant in the Costume Design category.
Father Ted creator Graham Linehan won the top prize in the Best Comedy Writer category for The IT Crowd, which starred Chris O’Dowd, while Dominic Mitchell was named Best Drama Writer for In the Flesh.
