Don Cheadle shocked by Boston Marathon horror

Iron Man 2 star Don Cheadle was shocked to watch the horror of the Boston Marathon bombings unfold in Massachusetts on Monday (15Apr13) as his daughter is preparing to move to the city. The actor admits the explosions, which ripped through the crowds close to the finish line of the annual race, were especially worrying for him as a parent because his teenage daughter Ayana Tai is planning to relocate to Boston for her studies.
He tells U.K. talk show Daybreak, “It was shocking for me especially because my oldest just got accepted to school in Boston. She’ll be going there in the fall…
“It’s really troubling obviously when anything like this happens. There’s a real knee-jerk sort of reaction to jump to conclusions about what this is, but we don’t know what it is yet so we really have to take our time and figure out (sic) and sift through all the evidence.”
Three people, including an eight-year-old boy, were killed on Monday when two bombs exploded near the final stretch of the Boston Marathon. More than 170 others were injured in the atrocity, which is being investigated by the FBI as an act of terrorism.
