EarlWolf added to Reading and Leeds Festival line-ups

Rapper Earl Sweatshirt is preparing to bounce back from a bout of pneumonia by hitting the stage with his Odd Future bandmate Tyler, The Creator at Britain’s Reading and Leeds Festivals this summer (13). The hip-hop star was forced to axe his set at the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee in early June (13) after coming down with the lung infection, and the illness prompted him to pull a string of dates in Europe too, including the Splash! Festival in Germany and Switzerland’s Openair Frauenfeld.
However, he is hoping to be well enough in time to honour a series of U.S. dates, which kick off in late July (13), and he has now added two new gigs in the U.K. for August (13), when he plans to perform with Tyler as EarlWolf.
Their addition to the line-up for the Reading and Leeds Festival in August (13) was announced on Thursday (27Jun13), when event organisers also revealed that Crowns, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, and DJ duo Bag Raiders would also perform. News of the extra acts emerged as rockers Brand New declared that they will no longer be playing the sister festivals due “insurmountable” personal issues.
Green Day, Eminem and Biffy Clyro are all set to headline the 2013 Reading and Leeds Festivals.
