Eva Longoria will be directing an episode of Jane the Virgin, members of the show’s cast excitedly announced on social media.
Gina Rodriguez, who plays the title character, revealed on Snapchat Eva would be directing an episode of season three. Sharing a screenshot of a script from the show, along with emojis expressing her delight at Eva’s involvement, it clearly shows the former Desperate Housewives as director for episode three.
Jaime Camil, who plays Rogelio De La Vega in the comedy drama, shared an snap on Instagram of Eva’s name on a room key for the show’s fictional Marbella Hotel.

Camil’s costar Andrea Navedo, who plays Xiomara Villanueva, also posted the same photo. “Guess who is checking into the Marbella Hotel this Season? #JaneTheVirgin Can”t wait to share with you all!” she wrote alongside the reveal on Instagram.
Both photos were later shared by the official Jane the Virgin account on Twitter.
It’s still unknown if the 41-year-old will have a role in the episode she is directing.
Jane the Virgin returns to the CW network on 17 October (16).
