Gerhard Berger breaks arm in skiing accident

Formula 1 legend Gerhard Berger has broken his arm in a skiing accident just months after fellow former Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher suffered life-threatening injuries on the slopes. The retired racing driver, 54, was airlifted to a hospital in Austria on Thursday (06Mar14) after falling over during a ski trip.
He underwent an operation on his broken arm and was released over the weekend (08-09Mar14).
A spokesperson for the Hospital St. Johann in Tirol, Austria says, “He’s very good. He is on the road to recovery.”
Schumacher, who took over from Berger on the Ferrari team in 1996, remains in a medically-induced coma at a hospital in Grenoble, France following his own skiing accident in late December (13).
