The Braveheart actor split from Grigorieva, the mother of his daughter Lucia, early last year (10) and she went on to accuse the actor of beating her in a violent domestic dispute.
Her son Alexander Dalton, from her relationship with former James Bond star Timothy Dalton, was reportedly present during the altercation, in which Grigorieva claimed to have had her teeth knocked out, although he is not thought to have actually witnessed the bust-up.
Grigorieva subsequently dropped her allegations of domestic violence against Gibson in a bid to settle their bitter custody battle over little Lucia, and they finalised the details last month (Aug11).
It has since emerged that Gibson will hand his ex-girlfriend extra cash for allegedly terrorising her son during their fall-out – in exchange for a guarantee that Alexander, now 14, will not sue over the incident, reports TMZ.com.
