Gina Gershon back onstage in Stephen King’s haunted musical

Actress Gina Gershon headed back to the stage on Saturday (08Nov14) to star in a new tour of Stephen King and John Mellencamp’s supernatural musical Ghost Brothers Of Darkland County. The Showgirls star has joined forces with Twilight actor Billy Burke to lead the cast of the latest version of the production, about two feuding brothers forced to spend time together in a haunted cabin.
Gershon and Burke took their first bow in Orono, Maine over the weekend, and will continue to perform to audiences in Toronto, Canada, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., New York and Los Angeles, among other venues, until early December (14).
Stephen King’s Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, which features music and lyrics written by Mellencamp and produced by T-Bone Burnett, premiered in Atlanta, Georgia in 2012 and concluded its first U.S. tour last year (13).
Gershon previously appeared in Broadway revivals of Bye Bye Birdie in 2009 and Boeing-Boeing in 2008.
