Gucci Mane’s community service request denied

Gucci Mane’s aggravated assault case is heading to trial after a judge refused to allow the rapper to complete community service in lieu of a possible custodial sentence. The hip-hop star, real name Radric Davis, entered a not guilty plea in May (13) over allegations he hit a soldier over the head with a bottle in an Atlanta, Georgia nightclub in March (13).
Davis’ lawyer asked for the star to be handed a community service stint as punishment, but a Fulton County judge denied the request on Monday (19Aug13).
The musician’s attorney tells Fox News the trial is expected to take place in November (13) or December (13).
