The How I Met Your Mother star and his boyfriend David Burtka, who became parents to twins last year (10) using a surrogate mother, have been planning to exchange vows for a long time and they announced their happy news after a bill to legalise same-sex marriage in New York was passed on Friday (24Jun11).
Harris writes in a post on his Twitter.com page, “David and I did propose to each other, but over five years ago! We’ve been wearing engagement rings for ages, waiting for an available date.”
